WOT -Demandred by ReddEra WOT -Demandred by ReddEra
Demandred, once known as Barid Bel Medar, is one of the thirteen Forsaken who was trapped at Shayol Ghul due to the Dragon's sealing.
He is hook nosed and handsome, but he never smiles.

That's one scary and intense looking man. His pale eyes in particular stand out even more with the darkish complexion. Feels like he's staring right out of the screen. :o

Okay, don't shoot me but your character, to me, kinda looks like Goran Visnjic meets Joaquin Phoenix meets Sean Maher. But not that that's a bad thing. They're all excellent actors and, as boys go, are pretty. I especially see Goran and Joaquin... particularly Joaquin near the end of Gladiator. It's the severe eyebrows and the thin pressed lips and I think the overall shape of the face/head. In any case, EXCELLENT portrayal! I really like this one very much. =)

Thank you. I often look at fan casted actors for reference. Although I did not look at Joaquin Phoenix. But a lot of people see that so I think it's cool that there is a similar resemblance that I did not plan.

Art is wonderfully fluid that way. Because of the differing experiences that make all of us different and unique, the same picture or song or movie or book can leave an unlimited number of reflections and emotions and meanings on those who experience it. Just think about poems and songs that use symbolism and how they can mean different things to different people. Variety, in every form, is, to me, what makes the world go 'round. =)

Your artwork and style is just amazing to me. I especially love your Wheel of Time characters. I read the first 7 books way back in the late '90's. Then I stopped reading for about 10 years or so. Now I'm re-reading the books and I've just re-started book 7. To have gotten to know these people through text is amazing but it's amazing to be able to SEE them. It gives me something to picture when I read. (I don't have much of a visual imagination. Jordan describes these places and people throughout his books but I don't get any pictures in my head. It sucks. But I'm an empath so I experience things through emotion. So I pick up on emotion that most others don't. Variety! *smile*)

Sorry. I'm very verbose. Mostly I just wanted you to know that your pictures touched me. =)

Thank you, you're not too verbose. Excuse my taking forever to respond. I am often very busy and I like to take the time to respond to in depth comments.

It is nice that you really like my WOT work and that it gives you a mental image. Many of the fans have a very specific mental image that they want met. So I try to follow the book/fans/my own images/ and Team Jordan. This can make it very difficult, but in the end when most people like the work I feel it is a success.

So thank you, your words mean a great deal

He looks like a man very much in control... all the time. :O_o: What happened to him?
Or is he just quiet and still enjoying life?

He looks a little like an older version of Vincent Valentine from FF7 too....

I am impressed with your style

Thank you. He is a villain that plots a lot.

That's cool that you see Vincent, I love that character.
